Identification of mononuclear cells in cell suspension from cutaneous infiltrates freed by a suction blister method. 1982

T Ahokas, and K M Niemi, and H Halme

Mononuclear cells were liberated from superficial skin inflammations by a suction blister method which yielded a sufficient number of cells for histochemical and immunocytochemical analysis. The cell population consisted mainly of T cells which were identified as sheep red blood cell rosettes. Very few B cells were found as rosettes with immunobeads. Macrophages and eosinophils were found in varying numbers and they were identified histochemically. The method is suitable for studying nontumorous skin infiltrates.

D009000 Monocytes Large, phagocytic mononuclear leukocytes produced in the vertebrate BONE MARROW and released into the BLOOD; contain a large, oval or somewhat indented nucleus surrounded by voluminous cytoplasm and numerous organelles. Monocyte
D010267 Parapsoriasis The term applied to a group of relatively uncommon inflammatory, maculopapular, scaly eruptions of unknown etiology and resistant to conventional treatment. Eruptions are both psoriatic and lichenoid in appearance, but the diseases are distinct from psoriasis, lichen planus, or other recognized dermatoses. Proposed nomenclature divides parapsoriasis into two distinct subgroups, PITYRIASIS LICHENOIDES and parapsoriasis en plaques (small- and large-plaque parapsoriasis).
