[Use of prostaglandin F2 alpha gel prior to termination of pregnancy of primigravidae for cervix maturation (author's transl)]. 1981

Viscous gel containing 2.5 mg of PG F2 alpha in 10 ml was locally applied for cervix maturation to 106 primigravidae, prior to termination of pregnancy. Spontaneous abortion occurred to 33 women. Cervix maturation was up to expectation in 66 cases, and it was not in seven cases. Side-effects were of minor importance. The method is considered to be highly suitable for nulliparous women.
