[Surgical repair of injured ligaments of the knee-joint; functional results (author's transl)]. 1982

H Hemmrich

38 patients who had undergone surgical repair of injured ligaments of the knee joint were reexamined. Best results were obtained in cases of osseous avulsions. Early suture of lacerated ligaments in combination with primary plasty of the ligament showed good results. The author emphasizes the active cooperation of the patient as an important presupposition of early rehabilitation.
