Putrescine-promoted mutual adhesiveness of HeLa cells from density-inhibited suspension cultures. 1977

J Deman, and E Bruyneel

The mutual adhesiveness of HeLa cells harvested from density-inhibited suspension cultures was significantly enhanced by the addition of putrescine. No significant effect was observed on the adhesiveness of HeLa cells harvested from fast-growing suspension cultures. The effect on density-inhibited cells was abolished by previous treatment of the cells with neuraminidase.
