Discontinuous flow centrifugation leukapheresis and neutrophil function. 1977

Neutrophils collected by discontinuous flow centrifugation using hydroxyethyl starch were evaluated. Morphology was studied by light and electron microscopy. Functional integrity was assessed by measuring viability, chemotaxis, phagocytosis, and killing power. The harvested granulocytes were morphologically normal and showed no functional impairment.
