MR angiography has become a powerful tool for the examination of abdominal aortic pathology, including aortic aneurysm, dissection, and occlusion. This article reviews the techniques, indications, and imaging findings obtained from MR angiography of the abdominal aorta. In addition, the role of MR angiography relative to existing modalities is discussed.
